Training Workshop
Training Workshop
Under the supervision of the Department of Architecture and in cooperation with the
Department of Scientific Affairs at the University of Technology, the Young Architects Club
prepared for training workshops at the Innovative Students Hall.
The three days (January 23, 24, and 25,) free workshops were attended by students from f
Baghdad and Al-Mustansiriyah universities, in addition to students from the University of
Technology.
The workshops provided practical content and techniques on the most important basics of
contemporary architectural presentation methods.
Under the supervision of the Department of Architecture and in cooperation with the
Department of Scientific Affairs at the University of Technology, the Young Architects Club

A scientific trip (Educational Tour) for the third-stage students- Department of Architecture
The Department of Architecture at the University of Technology, represented by both (Professor Dr.
Safaa Al-Din Al-Samarrai and Assistant Professor Dr. Khansaa Ghazi Rashid) organized an educational
tour for the third stage students (architectural and urban branches) On Thursday, November 16,
2023, to visit the Iraqi Museum in Al-Alawi area, with the aim of introducing the students to all design
aspects, construction, and infrastructure for the exhibition halls in preparation for the start of the
second project “The Design of the International Cultural Center for Antiquities and Architectural
Heritage”, which focuses on creating a global attraction point that opens horizons for the exchange
and display of archaeological and heritage collections around the world and represents the
international museum system and those concerned with preservation and heritage globally.

Master Thesis Discussion Titled ((The Role of the Scenario in formulating a Contemporary
Architectural Text The Student ((“Runaq Arif Mohsen”)) at the Department of Architecture has been
granted a master's Degree in Architecture on her thesis (((The Role of the Scenario in Formulating a
Contemporary Architectural Text ((. The discussion was held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in the
Department of Architectural Engineering at the University of Technology.
The thesis focused on studying the concept of the scenario and its history in architecture, in addition
to highlighting the different roles of the architectural text in drafting the architectural text, such as
clarifying the creative vision, analyzing the surrounding environment, and directing communication
with potential users. The research aimed to explore and analyze the role of the scenario in developing
and improving methodologies for drafting the architectural text, and understanding how it affects the
design process and the interaction between the various architectural elements.
- -The discussion committee was headed by Professor Dr. Abdullah Saadoun Salman, Department of
Architectural Engineering - University of Technology. -Assistant Prof. Dr. Abdul Hussein Abed Ali (As a
Member). -Assistant Prof. Dr. Praizat Qasim Fahmy (As a Member) Department of Architectural
Engineering - University of Technology. - The thesis is supervised by Professor Dr. Abbas Ali Hamza
(Also a Member) Department of Architectural Engineering - University of Technology. - Lecturer Dr.
Bashar Shamil Kadhem (Also As a Member).

The comprehensive examination for doctoral students - the academic year 2022-2023
Under the patronage of the Head of the Architectural Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Ibrahim
Jawad Kadhem, with the presence of the Scientific Associate, Assistant Professor Dr. Mufid Ihsan Al-
Shouk, and Professor Dr. Abdullah Saadoun Salmanin the Chairman of the Graduate Studies Committee
in addition to the Graduate Studies Committee members, the Comprehensive examination for doctoral
students took place on Thursday, 18 of January 2024 for the academic year 2022-2023.
We wish them success and prosperity.
