Holding a Ph.D. and with an academic tenure exceeding 14 years at the University of Technology - Iraq, Dr. Alkhafaji has significantly contributed to design education and research. His academic career is highlighted by his roles at four universities, underscoring his dedication to advancing design education. With a rich professional background of 25 years as a visual artist and designer, Dr. Alkhafaji champions the integration of environmental and humanitarian considerations into design and architecture. His work, rooted in the belief of socially and environmentally responsible design, has garnered international recognition, influencing both the local and global design landscapes. Dr. AlKhafaji is renowned for his mentorship, with numerous graduate students under his guidance achieving notable success in labor economics and beyond. His academic achievements are complemented by his extensive research and creative work in environmental arts, graphic arts, and interior design, showcasing a commitment to both analytical and creative processes in the visual arts domain.
