Dr. Oday Abbas Abood is a senior architect and scholar. He received his Ph.D. from University of Baghdad - department of Architecture, in 2015. Also he is a faculty member at the Department of Architecture, in the University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq, with more than 17 years of academic experience, since 2003
In May 2015, Dr. Oday A. Abood received his Ph.D. In Architecture from the Department of Architecture, University of Baghdad, after completed his Thesis “Values and technology in architecture - the impact and vulnerability ” .
In 2002, he completed Master degree of Science in Architecture, Department of Architectural engineering, University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq, after completed his Thesis “Reference in Architecture – Future View”.
In October 1998, he obtained his B.Sc. In Architecture from the Department of Architectural engineering, University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq, after discussion his project “A tourist complex in the Qadisiyah dam”.
Dr. Oday A. Abood had been Publishing several researches in the periodic of the Department of Architecture / University of Technology.
The general field of research was : Architectural Technology, Architectural Philosophy and theories , Urban Design, particularly Design Strategies and Sustainability of Architecture.
Dr. Oday has a lot of participation in many national and international conferences (as a researcher) such as:

In 2003, Dr. Oday A. Abood started his academic career as a faculty member at the Dept. of Architectural Engineering, the University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq.
He focuses on enhancing the student’ capacity in architectural learning, design decision making and concept-building by embodiment architectural ideas with contemporary technologies specially creativity surfaces expressing a rich characteristic for the future Iraqi architectural product.
With more than seventeen years of academic experience, he has been involved in teaching theories and history of architecture, building construction in addition to design studios in various capacities at the University of Technology , and architectural Philosophy in Architecture department – university of Baghdad . In addition, Dr. Oday has been involved in projects reviews at different stages during his studies, and supervised of a lot of graduation projects and discuss a lot of it.
In the other hand, Dr. Oday has been studied architecture technology for postgraduate studies in Architectural department, university of Baghdad, and in Architectural Engineering- the University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq, for the latest two years.
