The Department of Architecture at the University of Technology awarded the Master's Degree to Mustafa Ali Medalloul for his thesis entitled " urban consolidation ". 

 The discussion was attended by the assistant head of the department for scientific affairs and postgraduate studies. Dr. Basim Hassan Hashem and a group of lectures academic and postgraduate students. 

The researcher discussed the The concept of urban integration In many of the proposals linking the existing and the new system, the process of creating a new interactive urban environment integrated with the existing fabric. , The research problem was related to (lack of a comprehensive theoretical framework for the characteristics and mechanisms of integration of the new and existing urban system). The importance of the research is to explore the ways and mechanisms adopted in the international development projects with the aim of integrating them with the surrounding context, and to develop a model for the mechanisms of integrating the new urban system and re-evaluating the urban development projects in the city of Baghdad.

 The Graduation Unit held a workshop entitled “Parmetry design and contemporary applications “ . 

The workshop that includes the research and discussion of a set of issues as the following scopes : 

• First scope :- Introduction to the parametric design.
• Second scope :- Applied comparison between barometric design programs and other programs.

The concept of performance design before and after barometric design applications.

Review of projects completed by participants in the Perfomative Design workshop.

The workshop managed by lecture Dr. Bilal Samir Ali and lecturer academic Aws Jwad Jaafer with the participats of a group of fourth stage Esra Mohammed Hussein, Ayat Ali Nafie, Sada Mazen, Nour Mubarak and Ghaith Laith from third stage .

 The Architecture Department at the University of Technology has been held in Blue Hall a workshop in collaboration with INTEGRATIVE SUSTAINABLLTY GROUP ISG, which works in several fields including: Design, SUSTAINABILTY ENVIROMENT, MODELING, TRANING under the title "Basic Concepts and Strategies of Green Buildings" on 27-3-2018 under the supervision of Head of the Department, Mr. Ibrahim Jawad Al-Qai, the head of the department, welcomed the attendance and the distinguished guests. The opening of the workshop was attended by the assistant of the head of the department for scientific affairs and postgraduate studies, Dr. Bassem Hassan Hashem and the assistant head of the department for administrative affairs. Abdullah Saadou The workshop aimed at introducing the concept of green buildings and its impact on the external environment of the urban communities. The workshop included a lecture about a number of axes that were presented by the director and founder of the company from the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Eng. Hani Salem: - The first theme: - Presentation of the basic information on global warming, sustainable development, green BAMANI and the approved accreditation system.
