The Great Role Of Interior Architecture Within The Impact Of Interior Design On The Inhabitant
Written by sohaibDr. Shamila Mohammed Wajeh professor of Internal Space Design and the faculty staff on Tuesday, 2 of May,2023, organized a workshop which included a guidance detailed lecture of the Model industry at the studios of the department of architecture .
The workshop discussed the mechanism of redesign and renovate the project of the interior spaces of the public university buildings, which included (clinic, university library, kindergarten, students’ restaurant, gifted students’ center, Al-Rasheed Bank branch of the University.
The aim of the project is to acknowledge the student to the great role of Interior Architecture within the impact of interior design on the inhabitant as the contemporary people spent most of their time inside homes.
The workshop is aiming at enabling the students to understand the foundations of interior design and how to deal with the design problems of internal spaces in terms of functional , aesthetic, symbolic environmental, and facilities aspects.
The fifth stage teaching staff, professors of the design project organized ,on Tuesday, 2 of May,2023,the preliminary evaluation of the final submission of the fifth stage graduation project .
During the assessment ,the details of graduation projects were discussed with the students to identify the most important problems and observations in order to prepare the projects for the final submission stage.
Each student was directed in detail to confirm the aspects of the presentation, the organization and design of the submission components in order to achieve the importance of distinguishing the elements of submission.

The Sustainable Revival Of The Architectural Heritage In Karbala" at Mohammed Makiya Hall, University of Baghdad, Department of Architecture.
The architect Fatima Salman Daood one the Department of Architecture Engineering/ University of Technology graduates of the year 2021/2022 is a candidate to win as she submitted her graduation project (Al Rehab Tourist House in Samawah Municipality) .The project was classified as one of the five innovative graduation projects within the local sustainability projects.
The environmental design of sustainability aspects was adopted in the context of the local climate. The project was published in the Journal of Green Buildings, which, supported by the Iraqi Union of Engineers, as the voting to declare the winner of the project begins.
The Underlying Forces Of Sustainable Urban Development (Doctorate Dissertation)
Written by sohaibA lecturer in the Department of Architecture (Lubna Rahim Al-Azzawi) granted a doctorate degree titled "The Underlying Forces For Sustainable Urban Development" on Monday, 17 of April , 2023 at Mohammed Makiya Hall, Department of Architecture at the University of Baghdad. The thesis focused on developing Urbanism theories by proposing a meta-theory of the underlying forces of SUD, which integrates intellectual dualities for the transformative transitional force for the development of cities all over the world in general, and Iraqi cities in particular. The thesis concludes identifying multiple approaches of assessments and measurements to assess and predict potential urban development in the future .
Dr. Mustafa Kamel Kadhim, professor of first stage architectural design subject, with the teaching staff of the department organized on Saturday,29 of April, 2023 a workshop at the studios of the department. The workshop focused on documenting individual housing models of architectural practice with their functional analysis at the level of movement, actual measurements and functional graduation aiming at reaching the conclusion of bubble diagram, zoning on site, Zoning on the plan.
The outputs applied to the design of a 150m house design project that reflects students' creative skills to develop design models according to the new determinants.
Master Thesis Discussion Titled (Morphological Diversity and Recipient Memory: University Buildings Case Study”
Written by sohaibThe Student ((Zahraa Nassir Hussein Hadi Azzam Alhusseiny) at the Department of Architecture has been granted a master degree of architectural design on her thesis titled " Morphological Diversity and Recipient Memory: University Buildings Case Study”.
The discussion was held on Thursday , April 27, 2023 in the postgraduate study hall in the Department of Architectural Engineering at the University of Technology.
The study aims to emphasize the concept of morphology in architecture focusing on the process of morphology and classification of shapes study at both phenomenal and structural levels within their reflection on the user and recipient to interact with it and realize its forms, leaving mental images trace that remains entrenched in the memory.
The study found several levels of morphological diversity affecting the recipient's memory, including complexity at the level of formal relationships, morphological elements and characteristics, in particular the impact of structured complexity (coherence).
The research's main recommendation was to adopt morphological analysis of existing buildings and demonstrate their impact on the recipient and this so-called reverse engineering.
The discussion committee was headed by Prof.Dr.Abdullah Saadoun Salman ,University of Technology - Department of Architecture , and each of Assistant.Prof. Dr. Zainab Hussein Rauf -Department of Architecture - University of Technology, ,Assistant .Prof .Dr. Noufel Joseph Rizgou - University of Nahrin - Department of Architecture as members .

The symposium, held with the presence of faculty, staff and students on Tuesday, 18 of April, 2023 at Hall G1, which aims to provide health and social care services, especially for orphans, including housing, technical education, parenting and professional training to build and secure their future.

Notable presence of the representatives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, His Excellency the Prime Minister, and a group of representatives of ministries, in addition to members of the House of Representatives from the Parliamentary Education Committee, and the heads of Iraqi universities and colleges. The ceremony began with a fragrant recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the speech of the President of the Academic Syndicate, and then a review of the most important challenges facing higher education. The ceremony concluded with a historical show from the Institute of Arts and honoring a group of distinguished Iraqi academics.
