On Thursday, March 6, 2025, the first stage of the Three-Minute Thesis Competition for undergraduate students was launched in the Department of Architecture Engineering at the University of Technology.
Seven outstanding fifth-year students competed in this stage:
- Ruqayya Hisham
- Rahma Abdul Jihad
- Ayman Fouad Fakhri
- Hassanain Nabil Ibrahim
- Ammar Sabah
- Mohammed Ali Haidar Fadel
- Ronaq Diaa Salman
Each participant presented their thesis before the judging panel, which included the following distinguished faculty members:
- Prof. Dr. Abbas Ali Hamza – Head of the Department
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mufeed Ihsan Shouk – Scientific Assistant
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zainab Hussein Raouf – Head of the Architectural Design Branch
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Lina Ghanem Jajjawi – Head of the Urban Design Branch
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Nagham Ahmed Jassim – Head of the Exhibitions and Competitions Committee
At the end of the competition, the judging panel announced Ruqayya Hisham as the first-stage winner. She was nominated to advance to the second stage, where she will compete at the university-wide level at the University of Technology.
