A group of the faculty members at the department of architecture ,University of technology, represented by the scientific assistant, Prof. Dr. Mufid Ehsan, the head of the Architectural Design Branch, Dr. Ahmed Louay Ahmed, the Islamic architecture lecturer for undergraduate studies-fourth stage in addition to Assistant Prof. Dr. Zainab Hussein Raouf (Islamic Architecture ) lecturer for postgraduate studies, , Interior Design lecturer Assistant Prof. Dr. Shamael Muhammad Wajih, accompanied by the students of the fourth stage of the University of Technology , Department of Architecture, visited the Islamic Museum and Umm Al-Qura Mosque In Baghdad, in order to enhance the theoretical knowledge within the subject of Islamic architecture for undergraduate studies and the subject of(Architecture in the Islamic Context )for postgraduate studies.
The visit included a tour to the group of buildings within the Sunni Endowment Divan, starting with the Islamic Museum, during which the students got acquainted with Islamic history and the primary patterns of mosque architecture within a group of architectural models in the museum.
The group also went to the hall of celebrations and religious events, then to the Umm Al-Qura Mosque, to be acquainted of all mosque details .
